Instead of being on set of a photoshoot in Malibu, Ashley made a little GRWM on Instagram Live (October 15th). During her live getting ready she interacted with her Tizzies, for sure. Ashley shared some details on new Illuminate Cosmetic products (new products coming our ways in 2019!) and also let us know that the first “OG” pallettes are limited. Her partnership with BH Cosmetics ended and the old pallettes (Beach Goddess, Night Goddess and Goddess) are limited now! Grab them while you can. She also shared some news about Halloween and the upcoming album.
In the inaugural episode of “My Pet Tale,” where celebrities share how their pets have shaped their lives and become lovable, important members of the family, Ashley Tisdale describes her special bond with Maui, her Maltipoo.
The actress and singer often brings Maui wherever life takes her. Maui is a veteran on-set, where she’s always calm, cool and collected.
“A director once said that she knows what ‘cut’ means, and she actually does, which is crazy,” Tisdale told TODAY.
However, Maui does get nervous sometimes. She’s battled anxiety as she’s gotten older and Tisdale says different remedies haven’t worked to calm her down. Tisdale has partnered with Happy Hempies, a nutritional supplement for dogs, because she says it is what helps Maui stay at ease.
“Happy Hempies is just so amazing, because it’s like giving her a treat, which also kind of takes her out of the moment of what she’s, like, freaking out about,” she said. “It just not only calms her, but it calms me, knowing that I have it for her.”
Tisdale says Maui is her “soul mate” and that’s why she wants her to remain happy and healthy. “She’s just been there for me, through the good times, the hard times. Definitely through my 20s, she helped get me through it, with all those, you know, lovely exes and dating.”
And Maui is, of course, the best listener. “She’s just like the best thing to talk to, and she doesn’t cut you off, so it’s really nice.”
She says Maui has made her life so much better. “I always wanted a dog since I was young, and I always was working from a young age, so I just really didn’t have time to have a dog. And so, she just made all my dog dreams come true.”
In the interview Ashley showed a few private photos of Maui (and also herself and Maui). A brand new/old rare photo of both can be found in the gallery. Also a few other new/old photos of Maui were added.
The wait is almost over! Watch the Skylanders Academy season 3 trailer now, and stream all episodes September 28th on Netflix! Are you ready to see how Stealth Elf (Ashley) keeps the group together once more?
Ashley Tisdale shares details on new ‘pop-electro’ album: ‘The whole album is upbeat’
“It’s definitely pop, but it’s more pop-electro versus pop/rock or straight pop,” Tisdale told AOL exclusively. “It’s really upbeat. The whole album is upbeat. Fun tracks. I know for sure it’s the most authentic album I’ve ever done. Actually, it’s the most authentic thing I’ve ever done in my career. It’s very personal.”
Tisdale explained that she’s struggled with anxiety and depression throughout her life, and she addresses those struggles in the lyrics of her new material.
“I’ve co-written every song on the album, and I also am so specific on the sound and what the album stands for, which is an upbeat album, but it has a dark undertone of anxiety and depression,” she explained. “I think it’s something that the world needs right now. It happened so fast and it came together so fast that I think the universe just made it happen.”
“I get really vulnerable talking about it, and it’s weird to talk about it, but if I could make someone at home feel less alone, then I’m doing my job as an artist,” she added. “I’ve gone through a journey. It’s obviously painful and hard, but it’s also the most beautiful thing.”
The former “High School Musical” star said that she’s been in and out of the recording studio for the last four years tinkering around with her sound, and she credited her popular Music Sessions YouTube series for giving her more of a creative outlet as she prepared to jump back into the pop music scene. She also had a transformative experience while shooting the “Symptoms” album artwork.
“I remember doing the photo shoot for the album, and I remember taking the first shot and they had me looking a certain way, and I was like, ‘I hate this side of my face,'” Tisdale recalled. “I stopped for a moment and I was like, ‘But this album is not supposed to show your beautiful side.’ Because I wouldn’t say that that is a beautiful side of me — you know, the anxiety and that stuff. But it’s me. After I saw the picture, I was like, ‘That picture is really beautiful.’ Even though it can be a darker thing, I do think it’s a beautiful side, still.”
And, once the album is released, fans of Tisdale can “definitely” expect the singer to take her new album on the road.
“I really hope so,” Tisdale said of the prospect of going on tour. “They definitely want me to tour. I want to tour. It’s going to be such a different experience. [With] everything in the past, I didn’t really know who I was as an artist and this I’m so proud of, so I cant wait to do that.”
