The day has come and Ashley Tisdale as revealed the colors for her Illuminate Cosmetics matte lipsticks — and yes, they. are. gorgeous!

The actress/producer behind the cosmetics collection first teased about the new product earlier this summer, and since then, has only shown fans the colors in black and white mode.

But today it all changed, when she revealed the colors, as well as the names: Milan, Miami, and London — all cities (although, we’re definitely thinking London is after London Tipton).

“I created them over a year ago, so I just can’t wait for everyone to use them,” Ashley told fans in a video Q&A.

All three matte lipsticks will be out on September 29th — THIS FRIDAY!

September 14, 2017  Sarah Comments are off Article, Hellcats

When actor Michael Rosenbaum announced he was starting a podcast, there shouldn’t have been any doubt in anyone’s mind that it would be good. And funny. Very funny. And informative. And all of those things it very much is. Rosenbaum started his podcast, “Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum,” in July and has been bringing his friends from the entertainment business, as well as other extremely interesting people, into his living room, sitting them down and legitimately find out everything about them. Having tons of fun along the way, of course.

His most recent episode, which was released on Tuesday, reunites him with his former “Smallville” co-star Tom Welling. In it, the two catch up on everything – from Welling’s modeling beginnings to their work together on the WB series and everything in-between. But one crazy-amazing piece of information jumps right out about two-thirds of the way through. When Rosenbaum brought up Welling’s turn into producing and mentioned his The CW series “Hellcats,” Welling had some pretty interesting and exciting news to share.

The Hellcats are coming back! The unlike-anything-else-on-TV show, which starred Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale as their characters took on the world of college cheerleading, ran for one season from 2010-11 before getting canceled. A cancelation that Welling attributes to the fact that “the woman who was running The CW left.”

The CW president of entertainment at the time the series began, Dawn Ostroff, decided not to renew her contract and left the network in 2011. Later that year, she joined as the head of Conde Nast Entertainment, where she’s been ever since. Taking over for her at The CW was Mark Pedowitz, who both took on Ostroff’s role, as well as more responsibilities, as the network’s first overall president. He still holds the position. While that means it might have been his decision to prematurely end the beauty that was “Hellcats,” it also means he’s played his part in its hopeful return. The first and only season of the hour-long dramedy could be seen on Netflix for a while after it was canceled, but it’s long-since ended its run there, as well. Luckily for both old and new fans, the show is now available on The CW’s online streaming service, CW Seed, which is “free for all,” as their tagline points out. Though it’s wonderful to be able to rewatch the greatness that is “Hellcats” and for new viewers to stumble across it, it still, of course, only has one season. Though, that might be changing, according to Welling.

“Yeah, we’re bringing that [‘Hellcats’] back,” Welling told Rosenbaum during his podcast interview. “Well, apparently, online they’ve [The CW] been airing it. It’s very popular in small doses and they want to re-do it and test it out online and if it goes well then we’ll bring it back on-air again. Because it’s got a little cult following.”

And who says small, but mighty fans can’t make a difference? This is proof that it is possible to make enough noise as fans to make a difference. Whether that’s starting a hashtag campaign on Twitter or simply showing up to watch a show you like, fans do have a lot of power. Even in smaller numbers.

While so much of what made the original series so great was the fabulous character portrayals done by Michalka, Tisdale, Robbie Jones, Matt Barr, Sharon Leal and Heather Hemmens, it seems like they, unfortunately, will not be involved. Welling mentioned re-doing the series, which most likely would entail a complete reboot, which would mean recasting and possibly changing other aspects, like characters and settings. The CW declined to comment when contacted by International Business Times for more information.

All that we can hope for is that the testing goes well and we get this smart, sassy, exciting, fun, sweet, wonderful show back in our lives and that the original cast finds its way back, even if just for some fun cameo roles. That shouldn’t be too hard for Michalka, as she’s back in The CW family as part of the incredibly funny and talented “iZombie” cast, and for Leal, who’s been acting on “Supergirl.” Everyone do a cheer for good luck. This is important it needs all the good cheer-luck it can get.

Ashley Tisdale has signed with digital style network StyleHaul, which will make her YouTube channel part of its expanding roster of lifestyle, fashion and beauty creators.

The actress, singer and producer — best known for her role as Sharpay in Disney’s “High School Musical” — relaunched her YouTube channel seven months ago, aiming to reconnect with her fans on the platform. It now has more than 1.3 million subscribers, and Tisdale has a combined following of over 40 million across her social channels.

Each week, Tisdale shares multiple vlogs of her daily life personally catered to the feedback she receives from her audience, from “#TizzieTuesdays” to “Ashley Answers.” Content ranges from hair and makeup tutorials to fashion, travel and cooking videos. Tisdale and husband, musician Christopher French, have also created an music series exclusively for the YouTube channel, “Music Sessions,” in which she and her friends collaborate on unique renditions in her backyard.

“I am an active user on social media and am constantly creating content, whether it be through my production company or on screen with the roles I play,” Tisdale said in a statement. “YouTube provides a platform for me to create content personally catered to my fans, and I look forward to working with StyleHaul to continue to grow my channel in addition to pursuing partnerships with like-minded brands.”

Tisdale has also her own beauty line, called “Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale,” with BH Cosmetics that includes eyeshadow and cheek palettes, lip glosses, bronzers, brushes and lashes.

For StyleHaul, signing Tisdale is part of its effort to diversify its lineup of talent partners. StyleHaul will work with her to grow her social audience and pair her with brands that align with her persona as a creator, musician, actress and women’s lifestyle guru. StyleHaul last fall inked similar pact with social star Cameron Dallas and has been focused on using its proprietary data technology to match up advertisers with members of its talent network to produce branded content.

We’re kicking off a new series on TBD and I am very excited start things off with one of my all time favorite women, Ashley Tisdale. In the last year she’s launched a new makeup line, a new website, a new music series on her youtube channel, all while creative directing at Signorelli and killing it at her own company, Blondie Girl Productions. As if she wasn’t busy enough, she’s heading to Coachella for the first time this year. I figured we should talk about those things AND create some pretty desert vibes while we’re at it.

First of all, your skin is looking pretty poreless right now. What are your current skincare favorites? Hydration – I drink two liters of water a day! I also am adamant about washing my face morning and night, I like the CETAPHIL CLEANSER, and a good eye cream, but what I learned from my dermatologist is that the less products the better.

Your new ILLUMINATE BY ASHLEY TISDALE PALETTE is stunning and I know that because I own it (I’m also excited to say that you may or may not have named one of the colors after me! OMGOMGOMG)! What’s the story behind this palette? It was one of my favorite palettes to create. I really wanted to step out of my comfort zone and do a lot more color, like purples and blues. I wanted to make sure it was different from the BEACH GODDESS and NIGHT GODDESS. When naming the eyeshadows I was inspired to name it the Goddess palette because I feel like the people who inspire me and my life are all goddesses. So of course there had to be a Kristin!

What are you listening to on repeat right now? Stay, by Zedd and Alessia Cara.

Who are you most looking forward to seeing perform at Coachella? Also have you ever been there before? This is my first time at Coachella, I’m so excited! I’m really looking forward to seeing Lady Gaga, and just taking in the entire experience.

Talk to me about your YOUTUBE CHANNEL! I love the music sessions you’ve been doing with Chris and Vanessa! I’ve known you for a little while now but I did NOT know you could sing like that! Whoa. Thank you so much! I’m having so much fun! I recently relaunched my YouTube channel and Music Sessions just came organically, because obviously my channel was launched when I was doing my albums, and knowing that my husband is a musician it just seemed so natural to do cover songs. I never expected people to love it so much, but it’s really exciting to see people enjoy it!

Current favorite blogger/youtuber? SINCERELY JULES has always been one of my favorites.

Best lip color from ILLUMINATE BY ASHLEY TISDALE on you? SKINNY DIPPING or CORAL REEF! I have matte liquid lipsticks coming soon, and I pretty much wear them all the time. I can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on them!

Ashley Tisdale just dropped her new Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale Goddess palette and she gave us the scoop!

The actress and beauty connoisseur has been hard at work on her successful beauty line and her latest palette has the perfect shades for any and all occasions – for an affordable price.

JJJ: What would you say is the most versatile shade in the palette?

AT: I would say all three highlighters – Kayla, Nessa, and LeLe. You can easily use them as eyeshadows and each one is so beautiful!

JJJ: Were there any friends that you wanted to name a shade after, but couldn’t because they were all taken?

AT: I have many friends so definitely wish I had more, but I chose the people closest to me.

JJJ: Do you personally have a favorite shade in the palette?

AT: My personal favorite is Sammy, I love a rust colored eye shadow. Especially for brown eyes, it really pops!

JJJ: Do you have a favorite product that Illuminate has put out?

AT: I do! The lashes! They haven’t come out yet but they will very soon. Everyone knows I love individual lashes so I’m excited to have my very own!

JJJ: Not a lot of people know what goes on behind-the-scenes when you’re making these cosmetics. Can you explain just how much work goes into it?

AT: A lot of work, a lot of time! The Goddess palette was created a year ago. Also people don’t realize we will get the samples and there could be the smallest thing off about it and has to be sent back. I take pride in giving my customer products that is as perfect as it can be.

JJJ: A ton of beauty bloggers actually love the products you’re putting out. What have been some of your favorite reviews/looks they have done?

AT: Carli Bybel used my cream cheek and lip tint in one of her tutorials. I love that she did that because sometimes people might not know how to use a cream for cheeks so they get scared by it. Cream is the only thing I use on my cheeks because it has a very illuminating effect more than powder.

March 29, 2017  Sarah Comments are off Article, Skylanders Academy

Ahead of the Season 2 premiere of Netflix’s Skylanders Academy, the animated comedy has been picked up for a third season. Production on the third season of Skylanders Academy — the first television series developed and produced by Activision Blizzard Studios—will begin in February for a launch in 2018.

Season 2 will debut later this year. Justin Long returns as Spyro, Ashley Tisdale as Stealth Elf, Jonathan Banks as Eruptor and Norm Macdonald as Glumshanks. New addition Felicia Day joins the cast in Season 2, voicing the role of Cynder, a new cadet at the Academy with a mysterious past.

Based on Activision Blizzard’s $3.5 billion Skylanders game franchise, Skylanders Academy “has introduced new people to the franchise,” said studio Co-President Nick van Dyk.

Activision Blizzard Studios, ran by co-presidents van Dyk and Stacey Sher, launched last year to create original content based on the company’s extensive library of intellectual properties Skylanders Academy is the first production by Sher and van Dyk, who executive produce the series with Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick.

The studio is developing internally a number of other TV projects, both live-actions and animated, Sher said. “What we do is look at each franchise IP and decide whats the best matchup of format to property would be,” she said.

Icase you ever wonder whether or not you should message an actor to ask her if she’s sick or pregnant after you see a photo of her that concerns you, let us help you out for a second: Don’t.

And Ashley Tisdale sent fans this message loud and clear on Monday after (gorgeous) photos of the 31-year-old actress enjoying Elton John’s Oscar party hit the internet. Apparently, the below image was enough to leave some fans concerned that Tisdale is not okay, so they messaged her to ask her if she is expecting.

This is not a joke.

“The pressure to being perfect is a struggle,” Tisdale tweeted in response, because of course the celebrities you send rude, body-shaming messages to are actual human beings who read that crap.

No I’m not pregnant, I’m just happy and haven’t been strict on my diet but thanks for the reminder.”

One of the fans who made a “pregnant” comment quickly apologized, but still — can we all collectively make an effort to stop commenting on actresses’ bodies, both in person and on the internet, in 2017?

As someone who A) is the same age as Tisdale and B) also tends to gain a few lbs when she’s happy then shed them as soon as she’s stressed, I totally get what Tisdale is talking about. But I don’t have to explain my small weight fluctuations to strangers on the internet, because I never starred in High School Musical. (ASIDE: This is the first time in my life I’ve felt happy about the fact that I didn’t star in High School Musical. That movie is a gift.)

The body-shaming conversation has been going on for years now, and it’s honestly getting exhausting. I’m sure Tisdale’s fans meant no harm, and I’m grateful that she spoke out on how tough it is to maintain a Hollywood figure — but I’m also angry for her that she had to. Can’t we let this smart, gorgeous, funny, talented, happily married woman show up to a party without reminding her that her body is a commodity? Can’t we let famous women eat human foods made for human people without asking them if they’re pregnant?

Apparently not yet, but as more women like Tisdale speak out, I’m hopeful for a better, happier, slightly fuller-figured tomorrow.

Ashley Tisdale first captured the attention of the beauty-obsessed back in her High School Musical days, when brilliant blonde curls cascaded down her back. Today, she keeps us intrigued with her fearless sense of beauty and style—she rocks the no-makeup makeup look as effortlessly as a bold plum lip paired with rust-colored eyeshadow, and last year, she was one of the first celebrities spotted with rose gold hair. Plus, in 2016, she partnered with BH Cosmetics to launch Illuminate by Ashley Tisdale, her own makeup collection, available at illuminatecosmetics.com, target.com, and other retailers.

We recently caught up with Tisdale (who was Health‘s June 2015 cover star) at the launch of DUO, a new body wash by Olay, Ivory, and Old Spice, where she told us about her daily beauty regimen, the story behind her darker dye job, and the beauty product she won’t leave home without.

On her daily beauty regimen:

I wash my face in the morning and night. In the morning, I follow that with SPF on my face, in addition to moisturizer. I’m very skincare-oriented. I decide on makeup based on what I have going on for the day. It’s always different!

The inspiration behind her new brunette ‘do:

I always walk into Kristin Ess’s studio and say, “Lets do something different.” I really wanted to cut my hair for a while. I didn’t cut too much off, but I did have it darkened it up a bit, and now everyone thinks it’s so different. I really love it—it’s a good middle ground for me. I’m not someone who likes to be too dark or too blonde, so it’s a really great in-between color.

One beauty product she can’t live without:

I’m a huge mascara fan. I love the Chanel Inimitable. It has a smaller wand, so it really gets in there, especially for the lower lashes.

How she keeps her skin glowing:

For me, it’s just drinking a lot of water, exfoliating with Olay DUO, and being really good about not working out in makeup. A lot of times I see girls who wear makeup while they work out and I think, “Are you just here to take a picture for Instagram?” I won’t sleep in makeup either because the minute that I do, I break out.

The biggest beauty mistake she ever made:

I’m always experimenting with beauty and makeup, so I can’t say I’ve regretted anything in the past. But when I was younger, I wasn’t very good at knowing which eyeshadow shades go with other products. I think at one point I probably had too much color on my face. I remember I was really into blue for a while, so I did turquoise on my eyes and then pink blush and another color on my lip and it was just too many colors competing with each other. I learned as I got older which colors go well with one another, and how to balance out different styles. If you’re going to do a heavy eye, go subtler on the cheeks and lips. If you do a bold lip, go for a cat eye or something that’s not so drastic or too much.

The trend she’s most excited to try:

Those glitter lips are kind of interesting and I keep seeing them. I think Taylor Swift wore it in the 50 Shades music video. So I definitely want to try those lipglosses that have some sort of glitter in it. And I think someone else wore it on the red carpet at the Grammy’s. I would check that out just to see what it’s like.
